Games and More

I created a few games for education and entertainment. I use many of these to get the students in the mood for learning English or for finishing up class when there is extra time. I have also included links to a few of my online games.

Downloadable Games

Name Description
The Unfair Game (Nouns) [Size=3MB / Type=key] This game is for advanced students who can answer questions about nouns and how they work in sentences. It's called the "unfair game" because each team can take points away from the other team by answering correctly.

Fonts: Calibri, Heavyweight, Helvetica, Lato, Open Sans, Plantagenet Cherokee, Uchiyama, nevis.
Letter Game [Size=3MB / Type=key] Many students have played this type of game before as it is similar to Scategories. A letter is given along with five categories. Students must write or say a word that starts with the letter and matches the category.

Fonts: Arial, Big Shoulders Text, Calibri, Helvetica, Poppins.
Word Challenge Game [Size=60KB / Type=pdf] This is a type of crossword puzzle but instead of clues for each word, there is a list of letters that can be used to create words to fit into the crossword table. Some words may fit into the table, but may not work correctly for other words that cross it.
Movie Rebus [Size=4MB / Type=key] A fun game that challenges students to know the English name of a popular movie. The title is shown in the form of a rebus puzzle (pictures that represent words).

Fonts: Abadi MT Condensed Extra Bold, Arial, Arial Black, Bangers, Helvetica, nevis.
Guess the Fashion Logos [Size=4MB / Type=key] I use this game for my college students but younger students may be able to do it too. Only the logo of a famous fashion brand is displayed and the students must guess the name.

Fonts: Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, Nunito.
Guess the Movie [Size=4MB / Type=mp4] A movie title guessing game that uses a popular song from the movie. Students listen to each audio clue and try to guess the name of the movie. Low Quality Version only.
