Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every student has the potential to excel and it is my responsibility to guide my students throughout their education. Textbooks play an important role in classes, but they often do not meet the needs of every students. So I strive to nurture the student’s individual strengths, interests, skills, and abilities while encouraging and helping them overcome any challenges. I foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and engaged.
I strive to create engaging and interactive lessons that promote a love of language and learning and use a rich and diverse range of texts and shared experiences. To achieve this, I utilize a variety of teaching strategies, including using creative learning opportunities involving real-life examples, hands-on activities, technology integration, and interactive lessons along with games, puzzles, music, dance, movement, and videos. Teaching is about nurturing relationships with students, their families, and the local community to build positive, safe, and inclusive learning environments where students are valued, respected, and supported.
